A Ceremony Rooted in Landscape and Reverence
Guests experienced the ranch as a journey rather than a single destination. The ceremony took place along the river beneath a towering, ancient cottonwood tree. Its scale and age brought a sense of grounding and quiet grandeur to the moment.
Custom-built wooden structures were designed to frame the ceremony space, forming an open-air cathedral that honored the natural form of the tree itself. Its base became the altar, allowing the landscape to lead while design supported the experience with restraint and reverence. Nothing competed with the setting. Every element existed to heighten the emotion already present.
An Americana-Inspired Cocktail Hour Among the Barns
Cocktail hour unfolded in the grassy corridor between the horse barns, where bold red structures became both backdrop and inspiration. Blue toile plates, equestrian details, and vibrant garden-style florals echoed the surrounding fields. Guests mingled with horses nearby, fully immersed in the working ranch environment that defines the family’s legacy. The experience was an authentic reflection of life on the property rather than a stylized interpretation of it.
Transforming the Riding Arena with Thoughtful Production
The heart of the celebration took shape inside the riding arena, which underwent a complete transformation over a full week of production. Flooring, lighting, draping, and intentional spatial planning reimagined the arena into a refined yet relaxed environment for dinner and dancing. The goal was not to erase the arena’s original character, but to evolve it. Its scale and structure were preserved while introducing warmth, comfort, and a sense of occasion.
