Set within the Arnold Palmer Room at Cherry Hills Country Club, this rehearsal dinner embraced the space’s storied legacy. Rather than competing with the room’s iconic navy and green tartan carpet, the design leaned in—allowing the plaid to become both foundation and inspiration. As a luxury wedding planner in Colorado, our approach is always rooted in honoring what already exists. Here, that meant designing in conversation with the architecture, palette, and history of the room itself.

Designing with Heritage and Intention
The Arnold Palmer Room carries a strong visual identity, and the design strategy respected that from the start. Deep green velvets, tailored linens, and layered textiles echoed the richness of the tartan carpet. Together, they created a seamless dialogue between the space and the tabletop. Every material choice felt purposeful, allowing the room’s character to lead while design enhanced it with restraint.

A Rehearsal Dinner Centered on the Groom
In many wedding weekends, the visual language naturally leans soft and traditionally feminine. For this evening, the focus shifted intentionally. We designed an experience that celebrated the groom, his love of the game, and the significance of the night before the wedding.
Housed in a room honoring Arnold Palmer, the setting offered the perfect opportunity to create a rehearsal dinner with a distinctly masculine sensibility while maintaining sophistication. The tartan plaid, rich green palette, and tailored textures reflected both the heritage of the sport and the groom’s personal interests.

A Refined and Thoughtful Tabletop
The tabletop told a story of contrast and cohesion. Verdant linens grounded each place setting, layered with botanical-inspired runners that softened the composition without losing structure. Classic toile dinnerware introduced a timeless, illustrative quality, while smoked green stemware and thoughtfully selected flatware added depth and texture.

Bringing the Outdoors In
Floral design was intentionally loose and organic, spilling gently across banquettes and tables to bring the feeling of the outdoors inside. Seasonal greens, grasses, and textural blooms introduced movement and life to balance the tailored elements of the room. Candlelight and warm accents added a quiet glow throughout the space, enhancing the intimacy of the evening.

An Evening Designed to Be Fully Experienced
This Cherry Hills Country Club rehearsal dinner was envisioned as more than a prelude to the wedding day. It was a moment designed to celebrate the groom, his passions, and the people closest to him. Thoughtful selections of food, drink, and entertainment set a relaxed, convivial tone, allowing the evening to unfold naturally. Rooted in place, personal story, and intentional design, the experience honored tradition while feeling distinctly modern. It was an elevated gathering that felt both meaningful and effortlessly welcoming.
